Dear parents/carers

I wrote to you recently about Mrs Fidock’s promotion to a larger primary within Leigh Academies Trust (LAT). I promised to let you know once we had appointed her successor.

Following a national recruitment search and rigorous selection process involving senior staff and governors from across LAT that completed yesterday I am pleased to let you know that we have made an appointment. The successful candidate taking over from Mrs Fidock as Principal of LPPA is Miss Sally Brading. Miss Brading is currently Primary Principal of The Hundred of Hoo Academy in Medway, also part of LAT, where leadership was judged outstanding by Ofsted at the last inspection. Her appointment takes effect from Monday 21st June.

Miss Brading is an exceptional leader and will continue Mrs Fidock’s strong legacy. Her appointment guarantees that LPPA will continue to be one of the most popular and successful primary schools in the Maidstone area. We are strongly committed to your children’s happiness, enjoyment and achievement. Miss Brading will write to you very soon setting out her plans for the future; her handover with Mrs Fidock will begin straight away.

Once again, can I take this chance to thank you for your ongoing excellent support for the academy. I know it means a very great deal to all of our hardworking staff.

Yours faithfully,

Simon Beamish | Chief Executive
